Travel the world and take beautiful pictures

Product photographer

We’re looking for a super bright and talented product photographer to work full time creating our product imagery. This isn’t your bog standard photography gig – you’ll be spending a lot of time on the road, travelling at short notice. You’ll be shooting in India, Vietnam, China and London, sometimes in studios, sometimes at factories. You’ll be managing everything yourself – your time, your schedule, your kit and of course, your deliverables – so you need to be resourceful.

There will be a lot of compromising involved. You’ll be limited by budget, by timings and by the availability of products. If travelling to China on short notice with full kit and no assistant scares you off this is not the job for you. You, on the other hand, take it all in your stride, solving problems as you go, delivering fantastic photos from the most challenging shoots. You don’t stop at setbacks, but keep going until it’s done and as good as it humanly can be. You’re self-sufficient - you’re able to control your own travels, your own budget and your own time. You’ll land in Jaipur and get yourself to the factory, no problems. Doing your own retouching as well? Even better!

"We’re offering you heaps of freedom, heaps of responsibility and the experience of a lifetime."

Responsibilities

  • Delivering consistently fantastic photos on time and on budget

  • Liaise with our stylists, retouchers, designers and product managers to create top quality images for all our output

  • Plan all photo shoots, execute them, retouch photos and deliver to a consistently high level
  • Organise, archive and manage all our images in our image library

Requirements

  • Highly motivated, dedicated, organised, talented

  • Minimum 1-2 years experience from product photography, interior photography or other relevant field, and a proven knowledge of studio lighting
  • A creative eye and passion for furniture and interior design
  • Flexibility to travel around Europe/Asia on short notice and for long periods of time
  • Strong, as in obsessive, attention to detail

  • Show a good understanding of light, materials and shapes

  • Ability to work under pressure, tight budgets and to strict deadlines

  • You’re interested in breaking new ground
  • You’re focused on results (we’re not fans of micro management)
  • You’re able to show frequent iteration and learn on your own.
  • You’re a really nice person.
